Outside Sales Representatives

As a Building Materials Sales representative, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to customers while assisting them with their lumber and building material needs. This position requires a strong focus on customer service and sales, ensuring that customers have a positive experience while shopping for their projects.

Duties:

  • Meeting with new customer prospects and existing customers to build long term, high level strategic relationships.

  • Provide expert advice on various building materials, lumber types, uses, and applications to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.

  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Maintain records of sales leads and customer accounts, while following up timely with customer's needs for their project.

  • Monitor new products and market conditions to understand a customer's specific need, and what they are trying to fix, accomplish or avoid.

  • Stay informed about new products, promotions, and industry trends to effectively communicate with customers.

  • Take off experience is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with a diverse range of customers.

  • Sales experience is required, demonstrating an ability to sell products and meet customer needs effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey product information clearly.

  • Close attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

  • Familiarity with lumber types and building materials.
